Yes, you read it right. Our former program consultant, Miss Mica, decided to finally pursue her dream of studying in Japan!<\/strong><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><div><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">At the age of 32 and after being employed here in the Philippines for almost 7 years in different companies, she tried to escape from her ultimate dream of studying in Japan. Way back to college she even consider taking up Japanese studies, but during that time since the demand and opportunities in that field is not yet common, she pursued another path which is Communications.<br \/><\/span><\/div><div><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div><div><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">And for this year, October 2024, she took the courage to take a leap of faith by saying yes to her dream! Here\u2019s to share our mini interview with her:<\/span><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d5c4c6a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d5c4c6a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%;\"><b>When did you start loving Japan?<\/b>\n<br\/><br\/>\n\n<p>I have been into watching anime since I was in grade school. Then it grew to being interested in Japanese culture and history. I was in college when I decided to learn Nihongo. Japan has been my dream country ever since. My dream of visiting Japan came true in the Spring of 2013. My relatives and I went to Tokyo for a tour, next was in Osaka two years after. What are the factors that you consider before saying yes to Study in Japan?<\/strong><\/p><p>It has been my dream since I was in High School. My first choice of career was Japanese studies but unfortunately, during our time, learning a foreign language was just a hobby so I took Communications at Miriam College &#8211; where I learned a lot, I developed so much. When I was about to graduate, I was planning to have a career in Japan. But, as an \u2018Ate\u2019 of my younger sister, I decided to put a pause to my dream because I would want her to reach her dream of being a lawyer first. I then became a part of Weepay and was transferred to Phil stocks (sister company), a total of 7 years. Then the pandemic happened, I was retrenched from work. In 2022, when the pandemic was slowly disappearing, that was when I decided to look for a new job. It is at that time that I came across Jellyfish&#8217;s hiring ad. In God\u2019s grace, I was hired as a Program Consultant. This job is like a dream job for me for I get to be of help to students who share the same dream that I had. As I see them reach for their dream, it made me realize that maybe this is the right time to continue my long-paused dream. With my family\u2019s full support, I then decided to join our Study in Japan program.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a7d19db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a7d19db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>What\u2019s your advice to those who are not that confident yet in pursuing their dream?<\/strong><\/p><p>Never underestimate your dream. Don\u2019t let anyone, even yourself to tell you that your dream is invalid or impossible. If it is meant for you, it will always be for you.
