Why did you decide to pursue studying in Japan? What are the factors that you consider before saying yes to Study in Japan?

It has been my dream since I was in High School. My first choice of career was Japanese studies but unfortunately, during our time, learning a foreign language was just a hobby so I took Communications at Miriam College – where I learned a lot, I developed so much. When I was about to graduate, I was planning to have a career in Japan. But, as an ‘Ate’ of my younger sister, I decided to put a pause to my dream because I would want her to reach her dream of being a lawyer first. I then became a part of Weepay and was transferred to Phil stocks (sister company), a total of 7 years. Then the pandemic happened, I was retrenched from work. In 2022, when the pandemic was slowly disappearing, that was when I decided to look for a new job. It is at that time that I came across Jellyfish’s hiring ad. In God’s grace, I was hired as a Program Consultant. This job is like a dream job for me for I get to be of help to students who share the same dream that I had. As I see them reach for their dream, it made me realize that maybe this is the right time to continue my long-paused dream. With my family’s full support, I then decided to join our Study in Japan program.
