It may take a few minutes to maybe a couple of hours before you reach one, but getting to a Pokemon Center means an overload of Pokemon stuff that’s all too adorable to handle. Who could forget that iconic yellow creature from the very first episode of the show that shot lightning whenever it wanted to? Or that theme song that captured the hearts of its audiences, and the PokeRaps at the end of each episode—which challenged everyone to memorize all of them? And then, the trading card game rose, dominating many shops and gaining a massive following. Soon, young Filipinos were talking about it day and night. It breached to the land of video games, and everyone who had a Game Boy considered it a must-have.
Past the “150, and more to see” came the generation of secret Pokemons. There were tons of evolution, and lots more that have never been encountered before. Fans turned to Pokemon lovers simply because these adorable creatures were just lovely. Everyone wanted a Pokemon shirt, or a Poke ball collectible, or a giant poster of the all the Pokemons side by side, or even that signature cap of Ash.
